Marina Chaparro is a pediatric and diabetes nutrition expert. She is a certified diabetes educator and founder of Nutrichicos, a bilingual nutrition practice specializing in children and family nutrition based in Miami, Florida. She is National Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has extensive experience providing science-based commentary to major media outlets such as The Huffington Post, Univision Media, Miami Herald and Reuter’s Health.

She is a member of the Pediatric Endocrinology team at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, where she provides comprehensive diabetes education to children and families and instructs patients on the latest technology advances in diabetes care. Marina Chaparro shares reliable, practical and science-driven recommendations to help parents and families meet the nutrition needs of their children. She leads our Nutrition during Pregnancy workshops, assists expecting and postpartum moms with private consultations and leads Body Belly Baby Starting Solid Food workshop.
Chaparro is a frequent speaker at local and national conferences and serves as a nutrition expert for various health organizations on topics such as infant nutrition, Latino health issues, and diabetes. Chaparro earned a specialty certificate in pediatric weight management. Chaparro is a graduate of Boston University and earned a master’s degree in public health from Florida International University.
