Part of our Prenatal Pilates and Barre class is doing lunges:
Lunges are great to strengthen your legs, gluten, calves. Lunges teach you how to maintaining a healthy and strong posture. Lunges teach you how to engage the core and move from the center out. Lunges are also a Must for pelvic floor strength, tone, and flexibility. Finally lunges are an excellent position during labor to use gravity and help baby find his or her way towards the birth canal and to find the optimal position and space to fit.
At Body Belly Baby, every prenatal class is designed with the health and wellness of the client in mind, the safety of the mother-to-be and the baby as the top priority, and also the preparation of the mommy-to-be’s body for the marathon o labor, the recovery, her postpartum time, and her return to get her body back in shape. Pilates is the most appropriate form of exercise for expectant and new moms. Lunges is a MUST DO exercise.
