Classical Pilates, from Joseph Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen, lengthen, and balance the body. It is a safe, low impact and highly effective mind-body spirit modality addressed to every one, from the de-conditioned to the athlete.

We teach private and/or group classes on equipment – reformer – and mat.

The most traditional equipment – the reformer- guides your body in your movements by creating both resistance and assistance with its springs.  It creates a long and lean body and challenges you with stability, surface of contact, and balance. Starting Pilates with the reformer is an excellent way to develop core strength, coordination, flexibility and also prepare you for the mat work.

The mat is the ultimate full mind-body-spirit exercise using the weight of your own body to create resistance.

We also offer prenatal pilates classes for expectant mothers for obvious safety and physiological reasons.
