Body Belly Baby presented a Baby Massage Workshop to Silly Monkeys Playhouse in Coconut Grove on July 22 2014.

New moms, expectant moms attended the workshop and were welcome by Valerie and Georgia, the owner of Silly Monkeys Playhouse in the Grove.

They learned about the history of infant massage and how each single individual comes with her/his personal “touch history” depending on their culture , their family, and where they were raised.

Valerie, CEIM certified by Infant Massage USA, explained how massage stimulates many of the baby’s systems: from gastrointestinal to hormonal, vestibular systems and many more. Massaging baby’s stomach relieves baby from many discomforts such as gas, colic, or constipation. It also speeds up the process of myelination.

Thank you to the Miami Herald for coming and taking some nice shots of our beautiful mommies and babies :-)
