Body Belly Baby was actually pre-born in Tokyo Japan under another name.

I am the proud founder of Body Belly Baby in Miami. I have the honor to share with you one testimonial from a very dear student of mine, Jennifer Martindale.

Jennifer joined my studio to learn prenatal pilates to prepare her body as best as possible to be strong, healthy and ready to welcome her angel into the world.

I would like to share with you what Jennifer’s experience has been like. This is the first part of the story. More to come soon…

I was a student of Valerie Massoni during my third trimester of pregnancy.  I was beginning to feel anxious and unprepared for the upcoming birth. What would it feel like?  How do I strengthen my body?  Valerie’s class was just what I needed.  She has a tremendous amount of knowledge, experience and most of all, compassion.  She clearly explained each exercise and took the time to work with me one-on-one to make sure I was doing everything properly.  Before I was able to finish the course, my water broke sending me into labor … six weeks too early.  I was given an epidural prior to pushing, but was given so much that I could not feel anything and could not tell if I was pushing or not. I felt scared and helpless.  My mind quickly went back to Valerie’s instruction.  Even though I could not feel it, I mentally went through the belly exercises I practiced so diligently.  Five pushes later, my baby girl was out!  She spent the next week in the NICU and I was not allowed to hold her for the first few days of her life.  Valerie was such a support to me during this time.  She counseled me on how best to touch my baby and interact with her despite the circumstances.  I will be forever thankful for her kindness.[dt_small_photos orderby=”recent” number=”6″ lightbox=”true” height=”270″ width=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” category=”” /]
